RESPONSIBLY CAUSING TROUBLE SINCE 2003

 

Whether I’m reforming the photo industry to change the way women, femmes and nonbinary folks are represented, hijacking social media to combat sexist journalism, partnering with policy makers to pass new legislations to end race-based hair discrimination, or creating the world's first crowdsourced platform for gender equality solutions, I strive to show brands that doing good is also good for business.

 

As a queer person (my pronouns are they/them), I fell in love with the digital world because of its fluid boundaries and endless possibilities. As a creative director with a dual background in design and programming, I have over 18 years of experience leading marketing and platform efforts for a variety of global brands including Dove, Uniqlo, and HeForShe. My work has garnered over seventy international awards, including a Glass Lion for Social Change (2019) and a Grand Clio (2017). Just don't ask me to draw; I still make stick figures with arms that come out of their heads.

 

Born and raised in New York City, I’m passionate about disrupting cultural norms that have negative micro & macro impacts. I am an activist and an introvert. My hair color changes weekly and I wear a lot of silly pants, some of which have been featured in Details Magazine and Bill Cunningham's New York Times Style section. When not working, I am usually dancing, nursing plants, reading lots of books, or managing the pain of whatever body part my most recent tattoo is on (the available options are quickly dwindling).
